Irish Minister of State Seán Sherlock visited africaJUICE TSC farm.  March 2015

The Irish Minister of State for Development, Trade Promotion and North-South Co-operation, Seán Sherlock, visited africaJUICE TSC. As part of his trade and investment engagements the Minister visited the aJ-TSC farm, processing plant and a passion fruit outgrower. He also visited Irish Aid supported mango farmers who are providing fruit to aJ for processing. The juice products derived therefrom are aimed at replacing imported mango juice products for local manufacturers. Minister Sherlock said aJ-TSC is an excellent example of how the private sector can support economic and social transformation in Africa and specifically by boosting Ethiopia’s export sector.

New General Manager and Operations Manager join the africaJUICE TSC team.  January 2015

We are delighted to welcome Mr. Andries Bezuidenhout as General Manger and Mr. Pieter Hattingh as Operations Manager. Both joined in January and further strengthen the team on the ground in Ethiopia. Andries has a wealth of senior management experience across Africa, most recently in Namibia and has worked with africaJUICE a number of times over the last few years. Pieter brings extensive fruit plantation experience and has also spent quite some time in small farmer development across South Africa.
